QUEEN: THERE WILL NOT BE A FREDDIE MERCURY HOLOGRAM

A chorus of conversation has sprung up amongst music fans about resurrecting dead rock stars as holograms following rapper Tupac Shakur’s “performance” at the massive Coachella music festival a couple of week ago in Indio, CA. In a recent interview with BillboardQueen drummer Roger Taylor said “I don’t think I want to” perform with a hologram of Freddie Mercury but fell far short of condemning others from using technology to exhume deceased artists. Taylor said, “Were somebody else to use a hologram of Freddie, I would have no objection… It just doesn’t sit too well with me. I don’t want to appear with a hologram of my dear friend. It’s the real one or no hologram for me.”
