Kelly Clarkson, Usher and Nelly Furtado have been added to the star-studded list of performers for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. ABC will air the event live from Las Vegas at 8PM ET on May 20. They will join previously announced artists Justin Bieber, Cee Lo Green and Carrie Underwood, with more performers and presenters to be added in the coming weeks. Usher will most likely perform “Climax” since he plans to drop his seventh album Lookin’ For Myself on June 12.
Adele, LMFAO, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne are among the leading nominees for this year’s BMA’s. Adele is nominated in a whopping 18 categories, while LMFAO is close behind her with 17 mentions. Modern Family co-stars Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen are the hosts for the Billboard Music Awards.
