Gotye has been making some interesting statements in the press lately and after that whole nonsense where he criticized the Glee cover of “Somebody That I Used to Know,” he now admitted that he is sick of the song. Yes, the song that has risen him to fame. Some artists wait a lifetime for one of their songs to hit and never experience it, and here he is complaining. The Aussie rocker toldNME that “Sometimes I feel like I’m a bit sick of it. My inbox, on any given day, has at least five covers or parodies or remixes of it and there’s only so many times you can listen to the one song.I like the fact that people are still discovering it and I don’t feel like it’s a noose around my neck. But at the same time, I do wonder how many times you can listen to the same piece of music. I can’t think of any song that’s ever been picked up like this and I do feel like saying to people sometimes ‘Come on guys, there are other songs out there.’”
