Men in Black III hits theaters May 25, but fans already have a theme song to the movie in Pitbull’s single “Back in Time.” Pitbull has been promoting the film and and his new song and told Billboardthat he has embraced the opportunity to be a part of the film, and is looking to Will Smith as a “blueprint” on how to transition from music to the big screen.
Pit told Billboard, “It’s an honor, it’s a blessing. More than a movie, it’s a business, it’s a franchise,. So to be able to study what they’ve got going on… I was down in Cancun for the upfront, with Will (Smith), Josh (Brolin), with Tommy (Lee Jones) being an amazing actor. I’m not only studying the franchise, I’m also studying Will.” Pitbull goes on, calling Will the “blueprint of being someone who went from music to movies, and movies to being an entrepreneur.” Pitbull is set to unleash his seventh album, Global Warming, this summer.
